The new TP Organics brochure highlights four examples of organic Operational Groups from four different countries (France, Germany, Belgium, Austria). Organic farmers are very dedicated to engage in participatory research & innovation and eager to take part in Operational Groups. This is clear from the numbers. More than 10% of Operational Groups that started so far – 40 out of 300 – are dealing with organic farming. Yet, three of the groups mentioned in the brochure also include conventional farmers. All groups in the brochure produce outcomes that are relevant beyond organics, that is for the whole agri-food sector.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS – EXTENDED DEADLINE 15 September 2017
Terre Regionali Toscana (the mandated organisation which manages the conservation and valorisation
of these local genetic resources) is organizing a two day workshop on 9 and 10 November 2017.
The initiative is aimed at presenting practical cases of agro-biodiversity valorisation from all around
Europe. The main target group is farmers and the overall approach is based on a peer-to-peer
process where practitioners can present and learn about new methods to valorize and market local
products.

We have launched the tender specification for subcontracts to complete the national inventories of demonstration farms in countries where PLAID and AgriDemo do not have consortium members (Czech Republic and Estonia). The document specifies the tasks to be performed, value of the different contracts, and associated time scales.
